1920 ~ Myrtle Smith ~ 2021

Myrtle Elizabeth Smith of Medicine Hat passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the age of 101 years, beloved wife of the late Owen Smith. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Brenda Bryce (Arnold Ailsby); five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Shaun (Amanda) Bryce (their children, Alannah, Makayla, and Connor Bryce), Kerrie Bryce (her children, Alexis Hanson and Mason Paul), Shanna Bryce (her son, Tevis Bryce), Aaron (Hayley) Smith (their son, Owen Smith), and Jason (Dana) Smith (his son, James Robert “JR”); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Owen Smith in 1987; her son, James Smith in 1999; her brother, Wesley Fletcher; and two sisters, Laura Slimmon and Edna Findley. Myrtle and Owen spent their life on the farm at Creelman, Sk. before retiring to Stoughton, Sk. In 2012 she moved to Medicine Hat to be with her daughter, Brenda.
