Mr. Paul Peterson

Paul Peterson of Medicine Hat, passed away on Tuesday, June 25th, 2019 at the age of 99 years. Paul leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Jeanette Peterson and Sheila Peterson, both of Calgary; three grandchildren, Tracey (Keith) Murray, Collin Nabe and Bradley Kowaski; three great grandchildren, Leo Murray, Shaelyn Kowaski and Brodie Kowaski; two sisters, Helen Glenister and Ona Head; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Mary; one son, Gordon Peterson; his parents, Christian and Ellen Petersen; three brothers; and four sisters. Paul was born on March 30th, 1920 in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan where he was raised and educated. He served WWII in 1941 before going back to the farm in Rose Valley, which he loved, until moving to Medicine Hat in 1975. Paul worked at CFB Suffield as a Commissionaire. He loved time spent with family and friends, enjoyed nature and outdoors and was very athletic in his younger years. A Remembrance prayer service was held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel with Gary W. Goran officiating. An Interment Service will take place at a later date in Rose Valley, Saskatchewan.
