Moya "Pat" Hamilton Sauer

Moya Patricia “Pat” Hamilton Sauer passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the age of 83 years, beloved wife of Stan Sauer of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory her blended family, Gerry Whitton (Kay Morley), Randy (Anita) Whitton, Shelley (Brad) Usherwood, Deborah (Randy) Ditchburn and Laurie (Gerry) Bachmeier; nine grandchildren, Sherrie Whitton, David Whitton, Michael Whitton, Thomas Whitton, Cameron Whitton, Stephanie Marshall, Lauren Dodds, Clayton Ramsey and Daniel Ramsey; seven great grandchildren, Dominic Whitton, Travis Marshall, Carter Ramsey, Nicholas Ramsey, Harley Whitton and Clara Whitton; two sisters, Roberta Routhier and Marlene McDonald; and her brother, Jim Graham. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Stella Graham; her sister, Elizabeth Wylie, and her brother, Edward Graham. Pat was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland on January 21, 1941 and in 1946, her family moved to Cornwall, Ontario. She spent most of her working life at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta. Pat moved to Medicine Hat when she retired. It was there on July 21, 2001, that she married Stan Sauer. Pat loved gardening, golf, bingo, and playing cards. She was also a proud member of both the Royal Canadian Legion and the Loyal Order of Moose. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Home for the great care they gave to Pat. The celebration of life will be held in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, Pat Grisonich officiating.
