December 13, 1929 – January 15, 2019

Miguel “Michael” Ferre passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at the age of 89 years, beloved husband of Encarnacion Ferre of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory his family who will miss him dearly: his children, Montserrat Ferre (Joe Hagg), Michael Ferre all of Medicine Hat, Julia (Paul) Seguin of Calgary and Gloria Ferre of Medicine Hat; his grandchildren and great grandchildren: Trevor Smith and his daughter Aislin; Michael (Katie) Ferre and their son Oliver; Jordan Ferre and Chase Ferre as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Manuela and Manuel Ferre; two brothers and six sisters all in Spain. Miguel was born in Barcelona, Spain and married Encarnacion Gonzalez on July 27, 1952. They started their family in Barcelona and immigrated to Medicine Hat on May 1, 1961. Dad starting working at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital in 1963 in the laundry department, retiring in 1988 as the assistant manager. Dad loved the outdoors and camping, with Elkwater as his favourite destination for vacationing with his family. He never forgot his homeland and visited several times over the years. We will respect his wishes and no funeral service will be held.
