Maurice Alfred Rolles of Medicine Hat, beloved husband of the late Florence Rolles, passed away on Sunday, July 14th, 2019 at the age of 79 years. Maurice leaves to cherish his memory his step-sons, Daniel Demers of North Battleford, SK and Ronald Demers of Kyle, SK; step-daughters, Jeanette Brosinsky of Maple Creek, SK, Kathleen (Gordon) Osbak of Cayley, AB, and Donna Demers (Brent Spliak) of Innisfail, AB; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest Rolles of Melfort, SK; sister, Violet (Robert) Terry of Okotoks, AB; and numerous nieces and nephew. Maurice was predeceased by son, Allan Demers; daughter, Sharon Demers; parents, Martin and Hilda Rolles; brother, Edgar Rolles; sisters, Helen Jacklin and Hazel Reinhart; and son-in-law, Jerry Brosinsky; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Reinhart and Tom Jacklin. Maurice was born on the Saskatchewan family farm on January 25th, 1940. He attended South Star School and then went on to start his career in road construction. He owned and operated his own business for many years before going to work for the RM. Maurice retired on June 30th, 2000 and then moved to Medicine Hat, AB. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, making fiddle boxes, as well as playing the fiddle and the accordion. He treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and he will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. A private family time of remembrance will be held.
