Martin John Farr
March 2, 1941 – February 9, 2024
Martin Farr passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 82 years. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Leslie Kinghorn; granddaughter, Mia (Catherine) Kinghorn; son, Brett Farr (Valerie Carlson); his sister, Sandra Long; as well as his many nieces and nephews.
Martin was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Constance Farr; and his brothers, Garvin and Dudley Farr.
Martin was born on March 2, 1941, in England. He grew up in England until his family emigrated to Ontario, Canada when he was 16. Martin was drafted into the American Army during the Vietnam War. He was based in California where he met his future wife, Carol. Martin was a butcher by trade and in his latter working years, changed his career to driving taxi in Edmonton for 35 years.
He enjoyed playing racquetball and riding his bicycle in the river trails of Edmonton and during his last couple years in Medicine Hat.
No formal service will be held. Donations in Martin’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
