It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mark Horace Regan, beloved husband of Anita “Rusty” Regan, announce his passing at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice in Medicine Hat on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at the age of 88 years. Mark was born June 24, 1930, in Nova Scotia a son to Norman and Grace Regan. He was raised in Wolfville, N.S., where he received his schooling. At the young age of 17, he enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces and later joined the Air Force, serving as an electronics technician. Mark was stationed in Saskatoon and this is where he met his wife, Rusty. Throughout his military career, the family moved to numerous locations in Canada and Europe. He was technically advanced and kept up on his knowledge – when he was his 60’s, he took a course with all the kids in college! A man of strong character, Mark had a great sense of humour and liked to joke with people. Mark will be cherished in the hearts of his family including his wife, Rusty; children, Dawn Link, Tim (Donna) Regan and Tammi (David) Adams; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Wendy Roberts, grandson, Ian Roberts; his parents and a brother. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. The Celebration of Mark’s life will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Private interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
