Marjorie Doreen Rath passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at the age of 82 years, beloved wife of Ed Rath of Cypress County. She also leaves to cherish her memory her children, Kelvin Rath and Keith (Christie) Rath all of Cypress County; nine grandchildren, Trisha Rath, Clayton Rath, Amanda (Trey) Herman, Ryan (Jenna) Rath, Jordon Radke, Kelly Radke, Tammy Street, Susanne (Bryce) Jensen, Jennifer Rath; nine great grandchildren; five sisters, Alice Flaig, Beatrice (Fred) Bollinger, Florence Jans, Irene Jans, Rose (Gene) Kraemer as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Emilie Stuber; two sons, Terry in 1959 and Greg in 2014 and her two brothers, Jim Stuber and Walter Stuber. Doreen was born on August 24, 1936 in Medicine Hat and was raised on the farm near Elkwater. On July 3, 1954, she married Ed Rath in Medicine Hat and they resided on Rath family farm north of Elkwater where she raised her family remained living there until her passing. Doreen enjoyed doing cross stitch, gardening and baking. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend.
