Marie Schuetzle of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Fred Schuetzle, passed away on Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 at the age of 95 years. Marie was also predeceased by her son, Wallace. Marie leaves to cherish her memory her daughter-in-law, Sheila; two grandchildren, Laurie (Chris) and Curtis (Sheila); and one great-grandson, Taren; two sisters, Freda Heilman and Evelyn (Carlo) Paccagnan; three sisters-in-law, Lillian Schreiber, Marie Schreiber and Alice Kanewischer; and one brother-in-law, Edwin Kanewischer. Marie was also predeceased by her parents, Friedrich and Katherine Schreiber; three brothers, Ewald, Otto and Don; and two sisters, Laura Schneider and Hilda Kanewischer. Marie married Fred Schuetzle on February 2nd, 1941 in Schuler, Alberta where they lived and worked on their farm between Hilda and the Schuler District for many years before relocating to Medicine Hat. They always had a lot of hard work on the farm. Marie enjoyed flowers and vegetable gardening and sharing the produce with family and friends. Marie and Fred were very much involved with the Victory Lutheran Church for many years doing janitorial work in the church, being greeters and doing lawn work. She was an immaculate housekeeper and wonderful cook and baker. Thanks mom again, until we meet again. Farewell and God bless you. The Funeral Service will be held at VICTORY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2793 Southview Drive SE, on Monday, December 18th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Diaconal Minister Lila de Waal officiating.
