1943 ~ Margaret Reinboldt ~ 2020
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of our beloved mother. Margaret Rose Reinboldt (nee Riffel), passed away in Medicine Hat with family by her side on Wednesday, December 31, 2020, at the age of 77 years, after a short battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Reinboldt for 51 years. Margaret Rose was born in Prelate, Saskatchewan on November 16, 1943. She was raised in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan where she attended school and spent her childhood. Margaret Rose Riffel married Donald Reinboldt on March 23, 1963 in Medicine Hat at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church. In 1966, they moved to Fox Valley, Saskatchewan to take over the family farm where they began a very successful trucking company, Don Reinboldt Trucking & Excavating. During those years, they also began to travel, having adventures beyond our dreams in Las Vegas, Mexico, Hawaii, and Laughlin. She was also a devoted mother and wife who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially watching her grandkids grow. Her greatest joys were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was blessed with exceptional culinary skills and got great joy from baking and cooking her wonderful meals to her family and friends. In her spare time, Margaret was an avid gardener, loved planting flowers and enjoyed watching game shows, hockey and curling. She will be remembered fondly and sorely missed. Margaret Rose was predeceased by her parents, Vincent and Rose Riffel, and her husband, Donald. She is survived by her loving children; Donita (Warren) Meyer, Dean (Denise) Reinboldt, Darcy Reinboldt; grandchildren, Stefan (Chantel) Meyer, Kassondra Meyer (Trevor Lethbridge), Dayton and McKenna Reinboldt (Tye Opalinski), Ashton and Santana Reinboldt (Daniel Janik); great-grandchildren, Goldie and Navy Meyer, and Riley Yamada; two sisters, Irene Koch, and Louise (Tom) Sandau, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will always leave a legacy of care, warmth, and strong sense of family. Her family would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. B Durand, and his medical staff. As well, a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gerharni and the wonderful staff at the Margery E. Yuill Cancer Centre.
