The family of Margaret Hobbs, beloved wife of the late Harry Hobbs, announces her passing at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Friday, March 24, 2017, at the age of 91 years. Margaret was born September 20, 1925 in rural Climax, Saskatchewan. She was raised and received her primary schooling in southern Saskatchewan. Margaret later trained to become a registered nurse and was dedicated to the profession for over 35 years. Those who knew her will remember how she would make people smile with her great sense of humour and quick wit. She enjoyed going for walks along the city paths and swimming. She looked forward to daily conversations and frequent outings with her twin sister, Muriel. Margaret also loved to travel and was fortunate to visit many destinations throughout her lifetime. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and spending time with her family was most important to her. Margaret will be deeply missed and remembered by her two daughters: Kathy (Kevin) Friesen and their children, Bryan (Kaylee) Friesen – Milly and Derek Friesen; Sharon (Ron) Henschel and their children, Daniel (Amber) Henschel – Silas and Ellery and Megan (Dominic) Boire – Eli. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry, twin sister, Muriel Rogers and her parents. A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating. Private columbarium placement will be held at Hillside Cemetery.
