1941 – Lloyd Jans – 2021

Lloyd Richard Jans passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 80 years, beloved husband of Marcy Jans of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Lisa Whenham and Carrie-Lyn (Lorne) Finlay all of Medicine Hat; four grandchildren, Joey McConnell, April Dyck, Ryan Whenham and Cameron Finlay; four great grandchildren, Addison, Akaisa, Taven and Ryker; and one sister Delores (Donald) Bischke. He was predeceased by his mother Irene Jans. Lloyd was born on March 28, 1941 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. On February 17, 1961, he married Marcella “Marcy” Gospodar in Medicine Hat where they made their home. Lloyd worked of the City of Medicine Hat as a lineman for 40 years, retiring in 1996. In his retirement, he worked for Lawrence Meier Trucking for thirteen years retiring in 2010. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
