Kevin Clute
October 31, 1970 ~ October 19, 2023
Kevin Mark Clute passed away suddenly at the Alfred Egan Home in Bow Island the morning of October 19, 2023, at the age of 52 years; a few days shy of his 53rd birthday. Kevin is survived by his sister Karla. He was predeceased by his parents, Dale and Georgia; brother, Kelly and nephew, Everett. 52 years ago, when Kevin was born, being born with Down Syndrome was considered a family tragedy. But to his family, he was simply an adored son and brother. His world was no tragedy. It was clear to all that he was happy and had a great life. Kevin was loved by all who knew him. He couldn’t speak or communicate in the traditional sense, but he was smart, funny, mischievous, kind, adventurous, and gentle. He absolutely adored going on adventures, going for drives, and music. His recent home was the Alfred Egan Home in Bow Island. While there, he enjoyed many outings with his new family and friends. Most recently he was able to go to the Dean Brody concert and the Calgary Zoo in which he had so much fun! His caretakers at Alfred Egan Home were wonderful at including him in outings and making sure Kevin had everything he needed to be happy and comfortable. His family will always be grateful for the care and compassion shown to him in the last three years of his life. Kevin, we will think of you often during drives and listening to music. You will be terribly missed. A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held at a later date.
