Kenneth “Ken” Charles Ingenthron, beloved husband of Marlene Ingenthron of Medicine Hat, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the age of 82 years. Left to honour his memory are his children: Lynda Ingenthron (Jim), Barry Ingenthron (Emily), Brian Ingenthron (Andrea); his grandchildren: Christopher Krushel (Cassie) , Kirsten Krushel, Jillian Ingenthron and Nathan Ingenthron; his great grandchildren: Peyton, Karly, Colt and Cavery; his brothers: Bill Ingenthron and Ron Ingenthron as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Jean Ingenthron, brother Dale, and infant sister Elaine as well as his mother and father-in-law Edith and Jack Gebhardt. Ken was born on March 20, 1942 in Linacre, Saskatchewan, the second oldest of five children. When he was very young, the family moved to Medicine Hat. When Ken was in high school, he attended Athol Murray College of Notre Dame to pursue his love of hockey and football which he continued throughout his life. Ken, along with his wife Marlene, moved to Yellowknife where he started working for Cominco Gold Mines and eventually started his career in Corrections. Returning to Medicine Hat in 1974, Ken continued his work in corrections, playing hockey and raising his family. Throughout his life, Ken enjoyed travelling, wine and spirit making, golf, gardening, hockey and baseball. The celebration of Ken’s life will be held in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Friday, September 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Life Celebrant David Townsend officiating.
