Ken Flug passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the age of 81 years, beloved husband of Barbara Flug (Szoke) of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Michelann (Evan) Blumhagen, Naomi Beaudion, Kyla (Etienne) Brugman and Christy (Travis) Moody; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; his sister, Delores (Jim) Leach; sisters-in-law, Mary-Ann Flug and Donna Flug. He was predeceased by his parents, Heinrich and Evelyn (nee Bollinger) Flug; his first wife, Margaret (Gardner) Flug; five brothers, Gordon (Susan), Brian ‘Gary’, Wayne, Richard and Norman (Rose). Ken was born on December 30, 1940 in Burstall, Saskatchewan and raised in Redcliff. After graduation he went to work at a bank and later owned Windsor Plywood in Camrose. Ken and Barb owned and operated a bowling alley in Rimbey before retiring to Medicine Hat. Ken will be remembered by family and friends as being a hard worker. In retirement he discovered a talent for wood carving along with his wife Barb and also enjoyed gardening. His beagle took him out for walks every day until shortly before his passing. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Redcliff Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Ken, may do so to the charity of your choice.
