Keith McKee
1938 ~ 2018
Keith James McKee passed away at the Riverview Care Centre in Medicine Hat on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at the age of 80 years. Keith leaves to cherish his memory his best friend and wife, Kathleen Divel McKee; his two children, Tom (Joanne) McKee and their children, Sarah and Kelly McKee; Kathy (Ken) Walker and their children, Evan and Emma McKee; and a sister-in-law, Anne McKee. He was predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Jean; an infant son, David and three brothers, Raymond (Anne), Lyle (Alice) and Gerry McKee. Keith was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan and eventually made the move with his family to Medicine Hat where he and his brothers attended school. He worked for Dominion Glass and Northwest Nitro before gaining employment with CP Rail as a Conductor. This was a job he often reflected on and truly missed. Keith was well known for his cartoon drawings for fellow co-workers upon their retirement which would generally depict common situations of the recipient. He was quite handy and enjoyed wood carving and would lend a helping hand when needed for any household project that required a hammer or saw. Keith was just a nice guy and will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place. A time of visitation with the urn will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Monday, December 3, 2018, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service in honour of Keith’s life will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. with Major Murray Jaster officiating.
