Kahlei Wright
1989 – 2022
It is with the heaviest heart to even have to write this. To think this day would come that I would lose my little sister so soon, was just something none of us hoped for. As we all know KK (Kahlei to others) has had an unbearable last few years. Pain beyond comprehension for any of us to fully understand. But I know any of us that loved and cared for her, showed her, and remind her and made sure to tell her. She has spent the last few years living with this hidden unbearable pain. But I refuse to remember my sister like that. Growing up so close in age I was her protector, her friend and her bully. But she also brought so much life into our lives, previous to these last few years. I refuse to remember as the illness that unfortunately we all lost to her. I will forever remember the love she had for Maddi and Bentley. The love she had for Shahean. I want us all to remember the years before the tragedies. Remember the years where she thought a dryer had a speed of 575 KM/Hr not 525 KW/HR. Or the times I got to see my goofball sister run into automatic sliding doors so hard, the lobby stared at her. Behind and before all of her years to pain/loss/suffering she was an amazing mother, and she always will be an amazing sister, daughter and friend. She was my little sister, your friends. Please try to remember her as she was before she was struck with what no person should have to deal with. I will take solace that I know she is happy with her Grandparents, best friend, son, and fiancé and she always be with us no matter where we are. But I just wasn’t ready to have to say goodbye. I don’t think any of us were.
She was pre-deceased by multiple grandparents, a son, her common-law fiancé, and best friend. She is survived by mother and father, Bonnie and Dan Wright; brother, Brandon Wright; daughter, Madisyn Nesbitt, son, Bentley Nesbit and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
I thank everyone for their condolences at this time. And never feel bad to reach out to me 780-815-1329. As family I think we will hold true and strong together. But if I can give any words of advice. If you are depressed. Rememeber the people closest to you can only do so much. Their is no shame in asking for help. Just remember there is only so much the people closest to you can do. And they will love you unconditionally. You need that will. Fight through it. Because I can tell you as glad as I am she is happy, it kills me to live with that there are so many things we have to walk without her through life and it’s not worth it.
I love you KK (Kahlei) Anne Wright.
