Judith Dianne Kilback
August 4, 1955 ~ June 13, 2022
The family of Judith Dianne Kilback are deeply saddened to announce her passing in Medicine Hat at the age of 66. Judy was born in Edmonton, AB., and moved to Medicine Hat at a young age. There, she met her future husband Lloyd, when he befriended her older brother. After graduating from Foothills Nursing in 1976, Judy and Lloyd moved back to Medicine Hat where they raised their family. Summers involved camping in BC or swimming in her parent’s pool (many will remember Granny’s pool). Judy was full of warmth, wit, & humor. Her very big heart meant that she was often taking care of others. She impacted the lives of many in a positive way. Most will remember Judy in her role as a Registered Nurse which she loved doing for over 40 years. She worked on 6 West, 3 North, and Public Health during her career. As time went on and grandchildren came along, Judy found her greatest joy in spending time with them. The role of “Nana” meant so much to her. Shopping was another love for Judy, always eager to find a good sale. When she wasn’t shopping, she was saving for trips to PEI or Huatulco, Mexico. Judy was diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome later in life. Her will to be here through chronic pain and complex health was a testament to how much love she had for her family. She will be forever remembered by her husband, Lloyd Kilback; children, Neil (Lysondra), Amber (Brian) and Susan (Scott); grandchildren, Lola, Owen, Lily and Jake; siblings, Carol (Glen) Duxbury, Dave (Gail) Allen and Shari McLaughlin; in-laws, Shirley (Gerald) Bremault, Glenn (Nicole) Kilback and Elaine Trost as well as numerous relatives and friends. Judy was predeceased by her parents, Robert “Lynn” Allen and Aurelia “Raye” Allen. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant Gerry Getz officiating.
