John Richard Gallimore passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017, at the age of 77 years, beloved husband of Paddi Gallimore. He also leaves to cherish his memory their son, Dr. J.P. Gallimore (Janelle Moe) of Medicine Hat, as well as a son Dean (Bev) Gallimore, and daughter Danni (Pete) Bendkowski with their families in Lethbridge, not to forget his “blonde girl and companion “Molly”. John leaves behind five siblings; one brother, Jamie (Nadine) Gallimore, four sisters, Lynne (Jeff) Elliot, Donna (Keith) Taylor, Peg (Eric) Dafoe, Pat Gallimore; as well as a sister-in-law Barb (Lowell) Seymour and families. John was born on July 7, 1940 in Edmonton where he attended University of Alberta. In the mid 1960’s he moved to Medicine Hat, where he enjoyed interacting with his many students at the Medicine Hat College from 1965 to 1999. He was a great Field Biologist, loved nature and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with people. John didn’t like to travel, but loved animals. He very much enjoyed his retirement. A special thank you to Dr. Weigel, Dr. Shrives, and Dr. Marsay for the excellent care. Thank you to his friends for their continued support as well as the great care he received from his health care workers. At John’s request there will be no funeral service.
