John Jacob Renner

John Jacob Renner passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019, at the age of 91 years. He leaves to cherish his memory Theresa (Mazzei), his wife and best friend of 70 years; three sons, Garnet “Gary” (Jean), Blaine (Debby), Kurt (Patty Romman); his daughter-in-law Darlene Renner (Lyle Weis) of Medicine Hat; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Terry in 1997. John was the last surviving sibling from a family of nine. He was born in Colorado and at a young age moved with his family to southern Saskatchewan. As a young man he farmed, was a camp cook, and worked for Husky Oil. His final working years were spent as a foreman/superintendent with Sask Power (Many Islands Pipeline Ltd.). He married the love of his life Theresa in 1949. They lived in various locations before settling in Medicine Hat. After retirement they enjoyed travelling with their fifth wheel, golfing and visiting casinos.
