Ilene May Williams passed away at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the age of 92 years. Left to cherish Ilene’s memory are her children, Harold Williams, Debbie Johnston, Bonny Williams and Diane Williams; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Wien and Mary Faye McInnis; brother, Freddy Corner as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lyle Williams as well as her children, Jo-Ann Driscoll, Jimmy Williams and Paul Williams. Ilene was born in London, Ontario on July 4, 1931, to Edward and Margaret Corner where she was raised on the family farm. She attended school and then worked on the farm alongside her dad. Ilene met Lyle in Ontario and they were blessed with 7 children; 3 boys and 4 girls. In the 50’s, the family moved out west to B.C. and eventually settled in Alberta, making it their home. Ilene’s hobbies included crafting where she made pot holders and placemats, crocheting, knitting and gardening in which her green thumb seemed to make everything grow beautifully.
