1932 – Huibre Kriel – 2022

Huibrecht “Huibre” Hester Kriel passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2022 at the age of 89 years, beloved wife of Adriaan Kriel of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory three children, Huibre Wilkens, Adriaan (Madeleine) Kriel and Anna-Mart (Donnavan) Scullard; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Aanna and Willem Botha. Huibre immigrated to Canada from South Africa with her husband Adriaan in 2001 and lived in Medicine Hat until her passing. She was an active member of the Christian Reformed Church until poor health slowed her down. The family would like to thank Riverview Long Term Care for caring so well for Huibre over the last 18 months of her life. The funeral service will be held in the Christian Reformed Church (300 Primrose Drive SE) on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor George Koopmans officiating.
