1932 – Helen Salus – 2021

On July 26, 2021 Helen Sophie Salus passed away in Medicine Hat Alberta after 81 years of life. Helen, born on April 22, 1932, was predeceased by son Garth, husband Andy, sisters, Alice Montalbetti, and Francis Ritchie. Helen is survived by sons Roger and Gordon (Bonny) Salus, grandson David (Noemi), great granddaughter Grace, granddaughter Julie Sperounes (Jordan). Helen is survived by her brother Bobby Lybacki (Marge), sisters, Donna Pfiefer and Eileen Forward. Also to cherish Helen’s memory, is her best friend Jeanine Varty. Jeanine was an angel to Helen, showing her compassion and kindness every day for the entirety of their 60 year-long friendship. Helen loved her family and enjoyed gardening and traveling with her husband Andy. We love you Mom/Nana, you will be missed greatly. We know that you are in a better place where there is no more pain, suffering or tears. “ If flowers grow in heaven, God please pick a bouquet for us, hand them to our beloved Helen and remind her how much we love her.” A private family interment has taken place at Hillside Cemetery.
