After a brief fight with cancer, Glenn Francis Wright passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2024, surrounded by family.
Born September 11, 1959, to Loreen and Orville Wright. Glenn, along with his three siblings: Patricia, Randy and James; lived in Medicine Hat, Calgary, and Port Colborne, Ontario.
After graduating from the University of Guelph, Glenn spent his career in the milling industry. Living and working in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Finally coming to call Lethbridge, his home. Along the way he gathered many friends but, no matter where he lived, was always close to his family. He was a wonderful brother-in-law to Cathy and Kris. He was the “fun” uncle to Richelle, Sean, Meghan, Mason, Isabelle and Kalista, and he was also a great uncle to Owen, Isla and Daxx.
With a ready smile, and the ability to put anyone at ease, Glenn was always the life of the party. He treasured his friends and family. He was always willing to lend a hand. His interests spanned reading (especially science fiction) cooking, LEGO, all things horticulture, baking and wood-working. He loved to watch sports and spend time in the outdoors.
