George John Heidinger of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the age of 81years, beloved husband of the late Gwen Heidinger. He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Wendy Heidinger of Lethbridge, Wayne Heidinger of Calgary and Bud (Wendy) Heidinger of Taber; two grandchildren, Jason and Jackie (and their children Cody, Alexis, Logan, Sarah, Hunter), James and Leah (and their children Desirae, McKenna); one brother, David Heidinger of Lethbridge; one sister, Ruth (Don) Roth of Medicine Hat; sister-in-law Marie Heidinger of Magrath. He was predeceased by his wife Gwen on October 3, 1994, his daughter-in-law Kathy Heidinger; his parents, Ona and Martin Heidinger, one brother Derry and one sister Joan (Ron). George was raised with his family in the Burdett area. He met Gwen and they were married on December 3, 1966 in Medicine Hat and raised their family in Burdett /Bow Island. George farmed north of Burdett and also worked as an oil rigger and drove truck. In his free time he loved to curl and fish but his time spent as a grandfather was the most precious. Dad….your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. A private family service will be held at a later date.
