George Clark Boxell
September 8th, 1959 – October 9th, 2022
George Boxell of Medicine Hat, AB passed away on October 9th, 2022, at the age of 63 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Wendy Boxell; children, Justin (Cassandra) Boxell (Kaydence, Jackson); Darcy (Marlayna) Radke (Jared, Owen, and Jeremy); Charity Boxell; Ashley (Brennan) Kessler (Brynlee); mother and father-in-law, Al (Rhoda) Radke; brothers, Terry (Laurel) Boxell (Brianne Boxell and Brennen (Lacy) Boxell and Stewart (Coleen) Boxell (Colton Boxell and Leanne (Collin) Eskola). George was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Audrey Boxell; sister-in-law, Debbie Smith.
George grew up in the small town of Unity, SK where he helped on the family farm and developed his love for mechanics at Mack’s Motors at a young age. He later moved to Edmonton, AB where he met the love of his life, Wendy. George was a truck driver and heavy-duty mechanic for many years which brought his family to Brooks, AB and then several years later to Medicine Hat, AB. It was in Medicine Hat that George and Wendy bought their dream acreage. This was George’s happy place. His greatest love was his family and always made them his first priority. George loved animals and had an unreal passion for them. He enjoyed golfing, working on vehicles, and camping.
In George’s long and courageous battle with cancer, he had the love and support of many family and friends. This gave him the strength to welcome his newest granddaughter Brynlee Kessler into the world.
George had such a positive impact on so many people’s lives and will truly be missed.
