Felix Gottlieb Metz passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018, at the age of 101 years, beloved husband of Audrey Metz of Medicine Hat. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Karen (Eugene) Bolen, Orville (Jean) Metz, Frances Metz, Robert (Marlene) Metz, Alex (Sherri) Metz; seventeen grandchildren and twenty seven great grandchildren; his brother, Carl (Joan) Metz; two sisters, Josephine Mann and Pauline Wright as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rose Metz, five brothers and sisters; one grandson and one great grandson. Felix was born on June 19, 1917 and was raised on the farm at Richmound, Saskatchewan. At the age of 23 years he joined the Canadian Artillery and served overseas. He met Audrey in England and they married on December 20, 1945. They than moved to Canada settling in the Richmound area where they farmed until retiring to Medicine Hat in 1995. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Vijaya Bathineni officiating. A private interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
