1921 ~ Erasmus Lerner ~ 2020

Erasmus ‘Dick’ Lerner passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at the age of 99 years, beloved husband of Mathilda ‘Tillie’ Lerner of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory three children, Barry (Yvonne) Lerner of Fox Valley, Beverly (Pat) Deis of Calgary and Dean (Sandra) Lerner of Medicine Hat; seven grandchildren, Jay (Jenna) Lerner, Christopher (Chantell) Lerner, Nathan (Victoria) Deis, Richard (Amanda) Deis, Robert (Tiffany) Deis, Lane Lerner (Brittany Webb) and Quinn Lerner; fifteen great grandchildren, Tural, Owen, Dayton, Kayanna, Reid, Kael, Olive, Owen, Elizabeth Matilda, James, Ari, Adrian, Grayson, Myles and Wyatt; his sister-in-law, Rosemarie Lerner as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Anna Marie Lerner; six brothers, Adam (Sophie), Jerome (Anna), Alex (Kay), Ted, Jack (Hilda) and Frank (Anne); four sisters, Tillie Folk, Anastasia Haberlack, Josephine (Jake) Anton and Margaret (Elmer) Shaw. A heartfelt thank you to all of Dad’s care team especially Crystal, Renee and Kim, Dr. Bratvold, Dr Duke, St. Joseph’s Home and the loving staff at Masterpiece South Meadows. The funeral mass for invited family will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish (1451 Strachan Road SE) on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Vijaya Bathineni officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery. Due to restrictions in place regarding COVID-19 from the Chief Medical Officer of Health – funeral services are now limited to no more than 50 attendees including family. Family and Friends are invited to remotely attend the funeral mass through live streaming on our Facebook page – Pattison Funeral Home and Crematorium.
