Elizabeth Ziebart of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at the age of 85 years, beloved wife of the late Michael Ziebart. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Garry (Renate) Ziebart of Regina, Len (Rita) Ziebart, Marie (Don) Boschee, Alan (Maxine) Ziebart, Anthony (Brenda) Ziebart, Rosalie (Jan) Lennie, all of Medicine Hat and Mike (Linda) Ziebart of Regina; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; her brother, Vincent Leismeister of Taber; her sister-in-law, Katie Leismeister of Medicine Hat; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Sebastian and Magdalena Leismeister; her husband, Michael Ziebart; her sons-in-law, Douglas Gibson and Delmer Eckert; her brothers, George Leismeister, Walter Leismeister and Jack Leismeister; and her sisters Eva Plaksey and Lena Koch. Elizabeth was born and raised in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan. As a young woman she worked in Medicine Hat at Medalta Potteries. Elizabeth married Michael in 1950 and they eventually took over the Ziebart family farm in Fox Valley. Following Michael’s passing in 1978, she moved to Leader in 1980 and then moved to Medicine Hat where she has resided since 2003. Those who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Friday, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday at the church from 12:00 p.m. to 12:55 p.m. Family and friends will gather for prayers in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the Holy Family Parish, (1451 Strachan Road SE), on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Vijaya Bathineni celebrant. A private family interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery.
