Eileen Garman of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late Stanley Garman, passed away on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 at the age of 96 years. Eileen leaves to cherish her memory one son, Bill Garman (Erika); one daughter, Marcia Garman; four grandchildren, Terri Nowak, Todd (Debbie) Garman, Cory (Shanna) Garman and Lindsay Garman; three great grandchildren, Madison, Carter and Tanner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Stanley; her parents, Samuel and Gertrude Laidlaw; and all her siblings. Eileen was born on October 6th, 1920 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and was raised south of Climax, Saskatchewan. She married Stanley on October 8th, 1938 and together they farmed in Frontier, Saskatchewan for 30 years. After their retirement in 1968, Eileen and Stanley moved to Medicine Hat. Eileen enjoyed golfing, reading, playing scrabble and watching sports. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at ST. JOHN’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 504 – 2nd Street SE, on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Dr. Nancy Cocks officiating. A private interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
