Esther Tisnic of Medicine Hat, AB, beloved wife of the late Leonard Tisnic, entered the presence of the Lord on December 14, 2021 at the age of 90 years. She will be sadly missed by her children, Alvin (Sherry) Tisnic, Wanda (Brian) Dineen and Keith (Roberta) Tisnic; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; brother, Leonard Lentz; sisters, Violet (Joe) Stenger and Marlene (Wayne) Morton; sister-in-law, Hannelore Lentz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. As well as her husband, Leonard, Esther is also predeceased by her parents, Fred and Martha Lentz; brother, James Lentz; and her first husband, Adolph Anhorn. Esther was born on March 7th, 1931 at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital. She grew up on the farm southeast of Medicine Hat, AB and attended the Concordia school. At the age of 16 she left the farm and moved to Medicine Hat where she worked at Medalta Potteries and later at Medicine Hat Hospital and Medicine Hat Greenhouses. Esther loved camping, knitting, crocheting, doing puzzles, cooking, and baking coffee cake for family, friends and clubs. Esther was a member of the Women of the Moose since 1966. She loved her Church. Her favorite song is “What a Day That Will be When My Jesus I Shall See”. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1 Dunmore Road SE, Medicine Hat, AB. The private Funeral service will be held at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel on Monday, December 20, 2021 with Pastor Shane Hein officiating.
