Edwin “Ed” Melvin Larson of Medicine Hat, passed away peacefully at Masterpiece Southland Meadows on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the age of 89. He grew up at Manyberries and lived many years at Irvine before retiring to Medicine Hat. Ed was predeceased by his wife, Clara Jane (Deering) Larson; parents Louie Larson and Julia (Davey) Weiss as well as all of his siblings. He survived by his sister-in-law, Esther Larson, nieces and nephews as well as his extended Larson and Deering families. The family would like to extend much gratitude to everyone who cared for Ed through the last number of years. Special thanks to the staff at Masterpiece Southlands for their outstanding care and compassion during his stay there. A Graveside Celebration of Ed’s life will be held at Hillside Cemetery on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to attend should gather at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., on Thursday between 10:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Ed’s Graveside Service will be live streamed.
