Earl Barton Jensen passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at the age of 81 years, beloved husband of Yvonne Jensen of Medicine Hat. He also leaves to cherish his memory seven children, Monty (Rebecca) Jensen, Donavan (Terri) Jensen, Bradley (Joyce) Jensen, Jeromiah Jensen, Deane Brumwell (Lisa), Shannon (Don) Froese and Melanie (Andrew) Wagner; fifteen grandchildren, Travis Wade, Amber Jensen, Christopher Jensen, Dustin Jensen, Jared Jensen, Alex Field, Daniel Field, Gracelyn Wagner, Caleb Froese, Naomi Wahlstrom, Anna Froese, Isaac Froese, Johnathan Brumwell, Janae Brumwell and Jacelynn Brumwell and four great grandchildren, Olivia Wade, Kye Wade, Laine Jensen, Raven Jensen. He was predeceased by his parents, Margaret Jensen (nee Velk) in 1986 and Ernest Joseph Jensen in 1989; his brother, Gene Jensen of Pocatello, Idaho and Caroline Jensen, the mother of Monty, Donavan, Bradley and Jeromiah. Earl was born in Havre, Montana on May 7, 1942. He went to school in Inverness, Montana where he graduated from Inverness High in 1959. Earl joined the United States Army in 1959 and served for three years while completing his electrician training. In 1974, Earl immigrated with his family to Canada and farmed near Bow Island as well as worked on the St. Mary’s irrigation project. Earl started E. Jensen Electric and then went to work for Hat Alfalfa. Following a work related injury, he then trained at the Medicine Hat College in ground and building maintenance. Prior to retirement, Earl was self employed as a private contractor and electrician. In his spare time, Earl coached Y.B.C. as a master coach. He was a man who did so much for so many and ask for so little in return. A Celebration of Life and a Military Honors will be held in Havre, Montana. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATION OF LIFE CENTRE on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend officiating.
