Douglas Wade McCallum, 76, passed away in Medicine Hat on Thursday, July 25, 2024, after a long fight with COPD and lung cancer.
He was born in Castor, Alberta on January 18, 1948, to Frank and Edna McCallum. He was raised by his grandmother, Isabel McCallum.
Doug is survived by his wife, Sheryl; daughter, Kristi (Cody); sons, Dustin and Kent (Kyla) and granddaughter, Reese; brother, Gary (Bev) as well as a number of other extended family members.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Murray Jaster officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery with a time of fellowship thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
