Deborah Forbes says public schools are a place for everyone to learn, to grow and to make a better world. She is seeking re-election to the Medicine Hat Public School Division board of trustees.

She says her experience has taught her that issues change and that trustees must be a quick and accurate study of the issues.

Forbes promises she will always do her homework and keep abreast of K-12 education in the city, province, country and around the world.

She says she’ll do her best to make decisions that do the most good for most children, families, and staff – and then go farther to try to make sure no one is left out. She plans to listen to many points of view, do her best to understand and work toward consensus, and always treat everyone with dignity and respect.

Forbes says her previous experience as a post-secondary educator of early learning and education will help inform issues.
