It is with broken hearts that we, the family of Darlene Margaret Wardman, beloved wife of John, announce her passing at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice on Sunday, September 9, 2018, at the age of 78 years. Along with John, Darlene leaves to cherish her memory her children, Vicky (Paul) Proffitt, Wendy (Albert) Bosch, Richard Wardman and Cheryl (Leroy) Yanke; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; special niece, Julie (Mark) Coraini as well as her sisters-in-law, Linda Hirsekorn and Joan (David) Lawrence. Darlene was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Lorena Byers and her parents-in-law, Tom and Emma Wardman. Darlene was born, raised and educated in Medicine Hat. She married John Wardman on April 7, 1961, in Winnipeg, Manitoba and they moved back to Medicine Hat in 1961. Darlene was involved with the live music club and enjoyed camping, crocheting, playing darts and doing crossword puzzles.The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on 5 West and 4 West at MHRH, Tom Baker Centre, Foothills Hospital and St. Joseph’s Home for all the care they provided to Darlene through her illness. A Come & Go Celebration will be held at Whiskey Creek Pub, 937 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, September 14, 2018, starting at 3:00 p.m. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting our website at www.cooksouthland.com) If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Margery E.
