Colleen Sheardown
1965 ~ 2018
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Colleen Marie Sheardown, wonderful mother to Shelby, announce her unexpected passing near Vernon, B.C., on Monday, July 30, 2018, at the age of 53 years. Colleen was born and raised in Medicine Hat on June 24, 1965, a daughter to Jim and Connie Sheardown. With her roots and family in Medicine Hat, this is where she remained throughout her life. As a young lady, she gained employment with Shoppers Drug Mart and dedicated the next 28 years of her life as a long-time, loyal employee. As the Cosmetic Department Manager, her fun-loving and vibrant personality made her a natural fit for her position. Colleen was very chatty and became well known and more importantly, was well liked and respected by all who knew her. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed the thrill of riding her motorcycle and belonging to the motorcycle family. She also loved to go shopping and spending time with family which included going camping and sitting around the campfire. The light of her life was her daughter, Shelby, who was absolutely everything to her! Colleen’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of her family: daughter, Shelby Sheardown; mother, Connie Sheardown; siblings and nephews: James (Coreen) Sheardown and their son, Christopher; Scott (Brenda) Sheardown and their son, Brock; Donna Lee (Collin) Stabler and their sons, Rylan and Tyson; and Carmen (Mike) Rath and their sons, Jake and Travis. Colleen is also survived by her companion, Al Harink as well as numerous friends and colleagues. She was predeceased by her father Jim in 2011 and two very close God-children, Casey and Dennis.
