Clayton Peter Pearson of Bow Island, beloved husband of the late Shirley Stromsmoe, passed away peacefully Monday, May 29th, 2017 at the age of 83 years. Clayton spent his entire life on the prairies, raising his family in the Manyberries area. He loved cattle ranching and enjoyed a life raising horses and working the land. Clayton was a very generous and caring man, that would open his heart and home to everyone. He had personality, smile and presence that would light up a room. Clayton was an amazing father and loving grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Darcy; one daughter, Lori; and three granddaughters Britni, Krista and Ashley, that he dearly loved; and his sister, Betty. Clayton was predeceased by his sisters, May and Evelyn; and brother, Raymond. At Clayton’s request, no funeral service will be held. The family invites friends to his interment at PENDANT D’OREILLE CEMETERY, 15 kms south of Orion on Highway 501, on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. where he will be laid to rest with the love of his life, Shirley Stromsmoe. A Come and Go Celebration of Clayton’s Life will be held at the ORION EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, Orion, Alberta on Saturday, July 15th, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Clayton’s family would like to thank all for the care he received at the Bow Island Health Centre. Memorial gifts in Clayton’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 164 Stratton Way SE, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1B 3R3 or to a charity of one’s choice.
