Clayton Norman Wenzel passed away peacefully on May 12, 2021 at the age of 42 years, after battling a debilitating illness. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of over 10 years, Anna Wenzel. They met in 2005 and were inseparable from then on. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Elizabeth “Beth”; his mother, Diana Wenzel; four brothers, Dean (Marg), David, Troy (Robyn) and Kurt ; two sisters, Carol (Steve), Sandy (Harv); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Clayton will also be fondly remembered by many friends, business associates and his Masonic Brothers with whom he attended lodge. Clayton was a third degree Mason and Past Master. He owned A Plus Equipment Rentals Ltd. with his Dad and other business partners. He ran the company for many years with pride and was known for his sharp business skills and keen intellect. Anyone who knew Clayton knew of his great love of The Philadelphia Eagles. He believed in them no matter what kind of season they were having. Clayton played football, and was Captain for Crescent Height High School. He graduated from there in 1996 and then went on to College to complete his Business diploma. He played pool on both Cash and Vegas Leagues where he won many trips to Las Vegas to play in tournaments. Clayton loved golf and was able to pass that down to his daughter Beth. He started taking her to Paradise Valley as a preschooler and got her into lessons. He saw her natural talent for the game and nurtured it. Finally, everyone knew what a champ he was at musical trivia. He is a legend in this city and was almost impossible to defeat. Clayton was predeceased by his father Harold Wenzel in 2006. He suffered the loss of many close friends through out the years. These heavy loses were felt deeply by him. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Masks are mandatory) Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend. Family and friends are invited to remotely attend the funeral service. Search for the “Pattison Funeral Home YouTube page” where the video will go live 10 minutes prior to service time. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Those who wish to remember Clayton with a donation, may do so to the Shriners Hospitals for Children at www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.
