1928 ~ Clarence Glascock ~ 2021
Clarence Carl Melvin Glasock was born in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan on September 11, 1928. On October 8, 2021, he left this world surrounded by his children in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan.
He was the beloved husband and partner in life of Joyce L Glascock (nee Semenok). He leaves to cherish his memory his four children, Bruce (Debbie) Glascock of the Woodlands, Texas, Susan (Wayne) Burton of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, Douglas and Donald Glascock of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan. Clarence will be missed lovingly by his grandchildren, Gina (Jay) Egan, Trent (Janice) Burton, Jenna (Ray) Moore, Clayton Glascock, Kennedy Glascock and Madison Glascock; as well as his great-grandchildren, Jack Egan, Sadie Moore, Archer Burton, Carys Burton and Eloise Moore. Also left in his memory, his sister, Joyce Shannon and sisters in-law, Lillian Semenok and Jean Myrol; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Clarence was pre-deceased by the love of his life, Joyce, his parents Raymond and Gladys Glascock, sister, Manita Finlayson and infant brother, Leonard.
Clarence and Joyce were married for 67 years and lived, worked and raised their family in Maple Creek. He was always involved in the automotive industry and became a partner with his father, Raymond, and ran Maple Creek Motors with him for many years. Later he was joined by all three of his sons to proudly manage the dealership together.
Clarence served on the General Motors dealer council, has been president of both Kinsmen and Rotary Clubs and was nominated for town council and the school board.
He was a dedicated volunteer fireman for 33 years.
Clarence retired from the dealership in 1997 and he and Joyce enjoyed many years of traveling, trailering, golfing and their beautiful grandchildren.
He loved his family and was always very proud of each of them. Clarence was so loved and will be missed by many.
Due to covid19 restrictions, a private family gathering will take place to honour his memory. The service will be live streamed, and family and friends who are unable to attend are invited to watch the service by searching for the Pattison Funeral Home Youtube page. The video will go live at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2021 and will remain on the youtube page for future viewing.
