Christine Klus
December 5, 1935 – January 15, 2025
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Christine Rosemarie Klus of Medicine Hat who left us in the early evening of January 15, 2025, at the age of 89 years. Christine was born in Mallaig, Alberta on December 5, 1935, to parents Frederick and Clara Pears. After completing her schooling, Christina started a career at Sasktel where she worked for 34 years. She married the love of her life, Raymond on November 19, 1955, and they had two daughters, Priscilla and Shannondoe. Mom and dad loved to travel to somewhere warm in the winter; travelling to Hawaii every year for 35 years. Mom loved to bake and when she wasn’t working, you would always find her in the kitchen baking up some delicious treat. She also loved to sew and took great pride in the clothing she made for dad and us two girls. They retired to Kelowna, BC and eventually moved back to Saskatchewan and lastly to Medicine Hat. Christine was predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Raymond on November 2, 2024; parents, Frederick and Clara; five brothers and her son-in-law, Don. She is survived by her daughters, Priscilla and Shannondoe; five grandchildren, James (Jenn) West, Christopher West, Colette Best, Krissy (Scott) Best and Courtney (Daryl) Best; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A Celebration of Life will be held for Christine and Raymond at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Parkinson Canada or to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
