Carol Ann Kelly
July 7, 1956~ July 16, 2025
It is with broken hearts the family of Carol Ann Kelly sadly announce her passing. She was a loving wife, amazing mother and an incredible Nana.
Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory her adoring husband, Neil Kelly; son, Brad (Kelsie) Foote and their children, Sophie, Daphne and Cashius Foote, Jayden and Chase; daughter, Candace (Chris) Bice and their children Quinn and Libby Bice. She will also be fondly remembered by her brothers, Joseph (Sally) Walsh, Kevin (Joanne) Walsh and Gary Walsh; sisters-in-law, Monica Walsh and Mary-Anne Walsh as well as many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary; brothers, Ken Walsh, Don Walsh and Brian Walsh as well as by her nephew, Corey Walsh.
Carol Ann was born and raised in Marystown, Newfoundland and moved to Medicine Hat in 1979. Although she spent the majority of her life in Alberta, her heart always belonged to Newfoundland and she was proud to call herself a ‘Newfie’.
Along with her husband, Neil, her children and grandchildren were her entire world. There was no sacrifice too great or too small when it came to her family. Any day spent with family was a great day in Carol’s eyes. She was the absolute best Nana a child could ever ask for and she never hesitated to play whatever was requested of her.
Carol took great pride in the appearance of her home and of herself. She always put on her pink lipstick and went out into the world bright, loud and full of all things loving. Carol was a bright light and our world will be alot dimmer without her in it.
If you would like to honour Carol’s memory: call a loved one, have coffee with a friend, hold your hugs a little longer and squeeze a little tighter… and put on your lipstick because life is too short not to.
A private celebration honouring Carol’s life will be held.
