Bruce Alon Stenerson

1959 – 2026

 

 

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Stenerson, who passed away peacefully in Medicine Hat, Alberta, on August 7, 2026, at the age of 67.

Bruce was born on May 18, 1959, in Calgary, Alberta, where he was also raised. He was the son of Charles and Betty Stenerson and spent his life building memories and friendships that would remain with those who knew and loved him.

Bruce worked for many years in the furniture moving industry, a career that suited his hardworking and dependable nature. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially country music and playing golf or watching sports on tv. These passions brought him many hours of enjoyment.

Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shelley, and her son, Derek; and by Bruce’s two children, Charles and Nicole. He is also survived and will be cherished in memory by his sister, Sandi (Raymond); brother-in-law, Steve; former spouse, Cherie; and mother, Betty Stenerson; along with his nieces and nephew and their families.

He was predeceased by his father, Charles “Chuck” Stenerson; and his sister, Karen Hughes.

Bruce will be remembered for the life he shared with his family and friends, the stories and laughter along the way, and the moments that made him uniquely Bruce. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Rest peacefully, Bruce. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
