Mr. Brian Thomas Pearce, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Home – Carmel Hospice on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at the age of 84 years. Brian leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Nola, and their sons, Darwin (Sherri-Lynn) Pearce, Bob (Jeanette) Macaulay and Bruce (Jocelyn) Macaulay and daughter, Gloria Grossman; seven wonderful grandchildren that he loved dearly, Ty, Téa, Joel, Jodie, Chandra, Craig and Marla; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Bob and Donald Pearce as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ellen Pearce; sisters, Mary Walsh and Kathleen Krassman and brothers, Norman and Billy Pearce. Brian was a proud servant to the public and dedicated 35 years to policing with over 32 years as a proud member of the Medicine Hat Police Service, retiring at the rank of Staff Sergeant in 1987. A Celebration of Brian’s Life will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, September 22, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. with Chaplain Bob McGougan officiating. Private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery with a luncheon to follow in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
