It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bernhardt (Ben) John Schneider, beloved husband of Irene (nee Hepfner) Schneider of Medicine Hat, announce his passing while surrounded by family at the Good Samaritan Society in Medicine Hat on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the age of 85 years. Ben had a great passion for the land and farming and the love he had for for his family was endless. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Irene Schneider; daughter, Venise (Mike) Silver and grandchildren, Ardian and Rylene; son, Stacey (Julie) and grandchildren, Sherissa and Tyson; siblings, Anne Unreiner and Adam Schneider as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Francisca Schneider; brothers, Joe (Anne) and Mike (Violet); brother-in-law, Tony Unreiner and sister-in-law, Irene Schneider. The Funeral Service will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street SW, Medicine Hat on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. with Father Iqbal Khurshid officiating. Family interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery with a reception thereafter in the Cook Southland Reception Facility.
