Mrs. Barbara “Barb” Veryl Stenger, beloved wife of John Stenger of Medicine Hat, passed away on Monday, December 3rd, 2018 at the age of 68 years. Barb also leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Jo-Ann (Justin) Perschbacher and Joy Stenger; four grandchildren, Skyler Perschbacher, Tristan Perschbacher, Quintin Cooper and Chelsia Cooper; one sister, Brenda (Brian) Crowder; special relatives, John and René Suhai; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Barb was predeceased by her parents, Garfield and Iris Davison. Barb was born in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan on December 14th, 1949. At the age of 16 she started her seamstress career with alterations, progressing to drapery and gowns and everything in between. Her proudest achievement was her daughter’s graduation gowns and wedding dresses. Barb enjoyed many hobbies including crocheting, cross stitching and making stuff for her grandchildren. Her memory will be forever cherished by all those who knew and loved her. Purple was Barb’s favorite color, please dress casually for the funeral service; purple optional. The Funeral Service will be held at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1 Dunmore Road SE, on Friday, December 7th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Lee Little officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Barb’s memory may be made to the Medicine Hat SPCA, 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta, T1A 8E8.
