Annie Lucy Getz of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the age of 81 years, beloved wife of the late Anthony Getz. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Marianne (Darren) Oerlemans and Sharlene Getz; one daughter-in-law Karen Getz; three grandchildren, Jennifer Getz, Darilyn (Blane) Fischer and Jessica Getz; three sisters Polly (Gordon) Hopkins, Antonia Shubert and Helen (Max) Herron as well as her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Victoria Grudecki; her husband, Anthony; one son Victor; one grandson Douglas; three brothers, Johnny, Chester and Steve Grudecki; one sister Teresa Grudecki and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Annie was an avid gardener with a big green thumb and her passion was to make sure everyone was fed wether it be with perogies or cabbage rolls. Annie’s family wish to invite you to a Come and Go tea to be held in the Redcliff Senior Citizen Centre (26 Main St. Redcliff) on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Those who wish to remember Annie with a donation may do so to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Southern Alberta 340 A Maple Ave SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 7L5 or to the the S.P.C.A. – 55 Southwest Drive SW, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 8E8.
