Andy McGrogan

Andy McGrogan raised his family in this community and says he has a deep appreciation for the many things that make Medicine Hat one of the most desirable communities in Canada, including access to social services, recreational facilities and the beautiful parks and trails within our borders.

McGrogan dedicated over 40 years of service to this community and spent the last 12 years as the Chief of Police.  McGrogan says this has allowed him to gain a unique perspective on issues that are important to Hatters.  He believes it’s important for vulnerable members of the community to have a voice at City Hall and wants to continue working to reduce poverty and enhance social services.

He says with many important fiscal issues facing Hatter’s this fall, such as ownership of our utilities and developing our recreational master plan it is important that City Hall is focused on solutions, not roadblocks.
