Alberta “Bertie” Verna Renner of Medicine Hat passed away with her children at her side, on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the age of 88 years, beloved wife of the late Alvin Renner. She leaves to cherish her memory three children; Geraldine (Allan) Lannon of Dunmore, Terry (Lillian) Renner of Parkland County, Lucille (Garry) Lagasse of Medicine Hat, six grandchildren; Renee Lannon, Aaron (Christa) Lannon, Warren (Amy) Renner, Jason (Sarah) Renner, Delvin (Cori) Lagasse, Kendra (Steve) Perrior, twelve great grandchildren; Celyn, Tara, Kaitlyn, Colby, Aksel, Cambria, Ava, Grayson, Claire, Shelby, Sierra, Courtney (Josh); one brother, Al (Doris) Dorge of Lethbridge, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Alvin Renner, two brothers, and four sisters.

Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the Pattison Funeral Home on Thursday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Friday, from 12:00 to 12:55 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Victory Lutheran Church (2793 Southview Drive SE) on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Diaconal Minister Lila deWaal officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery .
