Our dear husband and father, Albert, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2018, at the age of 90 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Marion Enslen of Medicine Hat; four daughters, Sharon (Matt Anthony) of Edmonton, Cindy (Blaine Kunz), Sheila (Mark Watts) and Bev (Hank Claussen) all of Medicine Hat; five grandchildren, Ellen, Rachel, Marena, Toni and Andi; three great grandchildren, Zayn, Mila and Edie; one sister Elma Yanke of Burdett as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Rosina and Edward Enslen, two brothers John and Jack; two sisters, Clara Yanke and Anna Binges. Dad was born in Eastern Europe on September 23, 1927, and immigrated to Canada as a toddler with his parents. The family settled in the Seven Persons area. After leaving the homestead, he worked at Redcliff Greenhouses and Medalta before working on the farm of his brother-in-law, Jack, in Tilley. It is in Tilley that he met Marion Krzych. They were married in 1959 in Tilley where they farmed until moving to Medicine Hat in 1965. Dad went to work for the City of Medicine Hat for twenty years, retiring in 1991. Albert and Marion were known for tending bar at the Moose Lodge for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing with his friend, Adam, his nephews and sons-in-law.
